Mr. Paris Finnie is the President and Founder of the Universal Citizens Media Network (UCMedia) — a next-generation global streaming and media ecosystem built to amplify citizen journalism, original programming, international voices, and culturally conscious storytelling across connected TV platforms including Roku, Apple TV, Fire TV, Android TV, and web-based distribution.
A graduate of the University of California, Riverside, Paris earned dual Bachelor’s degrees in Psychology and Spanish. His academic path reflects both analytical depth and global cultural fluency. During his studies, he lived in Buenos Aires, Argentina, achieving full speaking, reading, and writing fluency in Spanish with a focus on the Castilian dialect. His global perspective has been further shaped by extensive travel throughout South America, Europe, Africa, and Asia — experiences that directly inform UCMedia’s international programming and citizen correspondent initiatives.
With a foundation in Psychology, Paris approaches media through a human-centered lens — studying narrative, behavior, identity, and cultural evolution. This perspective led to the creation of several original show concepts, including “Office Hours,” a long-form intellectual interview series exploring topics ranging from astrophysics to social identity and digital culture, and “Que Onda,” an international music and artist showcase spotlighting global creative voices.
Paris’s leadership experience began early. While in college, he served two terms as President of Hip Hop Congress, where he led performance programming, coordinated large-scale events, managed project budgets, organized lectures and open forums, and represented the organization at university ceremonies. His leadership blended creative culture with operational discipline — a model he now applies to UCMedia’s expanding platform infrastructure.
His technical foundation in media production is extensive. Paris has years of experience recording, mixing, and mastering music, and worked as a sound engineer for the University Campus Theater in Riverside, California. He is proficient in professional-grade audio and video software including Reaper, Fruity Loops Studio, Audacity, Pro Tools, Adobe After Effects, and Adobe Premiere Pro. This hands-on technical fluency allows him to bridge creative direction with production execution — a rare and valuable executive capability.
Under Paris’s leadership, Universal Citizens Media has evolved beyond a traditional media company into a scalable ecosystem — integrating:
- 24/7 broadcast streaming and Video-On-Demand distribution
- Citizen journalist participation models
- Multi-platform OTT deployment
- Strategic public and civic partnerships
- International contributor networks
- Cross-brand integrations including NWNLive and affiliated digital properties
Paris is not only a media executive — he is a systems thinker, brand architect, and cultural strategist building infrastructure for participatory global storytelling. His ability to merge psychology, international fluency, production expertise, and entrepreneurial vision positions him as a uniquely capable leader in the rapidly evolving digital media landscape.
At the core of his work is a simple but powerful philosophy: media should empower citizens, elevate discourse, and connect communities across borders.
